Customer Readiness Checklist:
- Does shipper have within 10% of the estimated box count? Yes/No
- Are boxes clearly marked on all four sides in dark colored marker: Yes/No
- Are boxes full to top, and securely taped top and bottom AND NUMBERED? Yes/No
- Are the boxes the proper weight ie Heavier, denser items into the smaller boxes and lighter, bulkier items into the larger boxes? Yes/No
- Are the boxes stacked according to size 4-5 high with the two heavier ones on bottom and the two lighter ones on top? Yes/No
- Are pictures, mirrors, glass tops, glass shelves, marble tops:
a.) Removed/ disassembled? Yes/No.
b.) Been properly wrapped in towels and/or linens and slid into flattened cartons, folded and securely taped shut? Yes/No
- Are beds fully disassembled, metal rails taped together and waterbed mattresses fully drained? Yes/No
- Are all railings and/or doors that needed to come off for various pieces to fit into house removed? Yes/No
- Have the legs been removed from kitchen and/or dining room tables? Yes/No
- Have lamp shades/harps and light bulbs been removed from floor lamps? Yes/No
- Have the VCR/Stereo/Computer equipment wires been disconnected and bundled with components in original boxes? Are TV cords bundled? Yes/No
- Have all loose items in the garage/basement been either boxed or bundled? Yes/No
- Is everything out of crawl space, attic, shed? Yes/No
- Is grill cleaned with propane tank disconnected? Yes/No
- Are the major appliances disconnected, and free of food, water, etc? Yes/No
- Will customer be available at origin and especially destination to direct the movers as to where everything goes in the new house? Yes/No
The move has been estimated with the intent of putting the furniture in the room it is supposed to go once. Please have an idea where it goes before we get there.
 <Make a Diagram for each room showing where items should be
placed. This will save time and mistakes in double handling. Peacock
will be happy to move it more than once, just realize each additional time will incrementally increase the time factor of your move. |
