MOVING TIPS: 1.) Please disconnect all major appliances.2.)
Please remove pictures from walls, glass shelves and marble tops from cabinets and table tops, and mirrors from dressers. 3.)
Items mentioned in #2 need to be wrapped in bath towels, linens, or blankets, then slipped into the flattened boxes like a letter slides into an envelope. Wrap packaging tape tightly around the package and mark it
FRAGILE.4.)
If pictures, glass and marble tops and shelves, and mirrors are not
packed properly, they will not be transported by
Peacock unless Peacock movers wrap the items in moving blankets, which will add time and therefore expense to the move.5.)
Please disassemble beds, wall units and other large pieces that may not fit out the doors of the house. We will gladly do this for you, but please let us know that you would like us to do this, and realize this service will add time to your bill.
6.) Please remove any loose items, breakables or valuables from dressers. Clothes can be left in dressers. 7.) A clear pathway into and out of the house will help the move run more efficiently.
8.) Please place items from attic, shed and crawl space out into the open. 9.) Cleaning out trash cans and filling them with miscellaneous garden tools can minimize your packing efforts. 10.)
Clean out barbeque. 11.) Try keeping pets and children out of harms way. 12.)
Try to have a phone hooked up both houses. The ability of our moving crew to communicate with our office is helpful in providing the smoothest move possible.
13.) Be
"Ready To Go" by the time the movers arrive:
Being ready to go means that the customer understands tips 1-12. Failure to
complete these steps could make your move take longer than the estimated time.TOP |
